Given the focus on Afghanistan, most of the time the most vulnerable do not receive the help that they need because they can not communicate with foreign aid agencies operating in Afghanistan and vice versa. Translation cost for the Afghan languages is pretty high and more than often by switching to a non-experienced language provider with the hopes of cost savings, aid agencies face impeding communication challenges. 

Afghan Translation Service has recognized this as an area of opportunity and has pledged to help out. Since mid 2007, Afghan Translation Service has contributed in kind to UNICEF and other agencies with the aim to help get the message of the needy across. With this in mind, Afghan Translation Service urges all Afghan owned local and international businesses to take part in the re-building of Afghanistan by providing in kind contributions in the areas of their operations.

Afghan Translation Service accepts applications for translation projects as long as the project directly benefits the needy and poor in Afghanistan. Such projects will be conducted in line with our standard processes and criteria as our commercial projects and the end product will be of the same quality as paid translation work.

Besides providing free translation services to aid agencies, Afghan Translation Service takes part in a number of other philanthropic initiatives such as supporting the Upwardly Global and the List Project.
